Vacancy – Sole Charge Greenkeeper

Situated 8kms north/west of Johnsonville, Wellington, the Ohariu Valley Golf Club is seeking the services of a passionate and dedicated person for this sole charge position.

A qualified Green Keeper, or someone near completion of their apprenticeship looking for a new challenge at “the best 9 hole course in Wellington” is required.  An effective communicator who is keen to support club volunteers is desired. Growsafe and Approved Handler certification is essential. We are looking for a self motivated individual who has a good understanding of green keeping practices and who takes pride in course presentation.  An understanding of current Health and Safety practices and a commitment to safety is essential.

Applicants for this position should have NZ residency or a valid NZ work visa.

24 to 30 April 2017NO BOOKINGS required if you are a green fee player – Just turn up and play ! – $15 for 9 holes or $20 for 18 holes

 

Monday 24 April: Course open to the public.

Tuesday 25 April: ANZAC day tournament in morning. Course open to the public afternoon.

Wednesday 26 April: Course open to the public.

Thursday 27 April: Course open to the public

Friday 28 April: Course open to the public

Saturday 29 April: Morning: Course open to the public. Afternoon: Club players on the course but course will be open again to the public from 3.30pm

Sunday 30 April: Morning: Dawn breakers until 10.30am then course open to the public all day.

[“Open to the public” means available for Green Fee players. Fees are $15 for 9 holes and $20 for 18 holes. Please note we don’t have Eftpos sorry]
